Tragic Thursday

Well that’s one week down. And what a week it was. Let me paint you a picture…

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday flew past with no objection. All was going swimmingly. I was settling into my new “LC life” with receiving a top locker (winning), given free plums from one of my best friends (there is no double meaning to that, she literally gave me home grown plums for the week.) And dare I say it, I was even enjoying my days at school. But then along came Thursday, where tragedy struck… *dun dun dunnnn*

Thursday hit me like the bus that fecked up Regina George. After a disappointing English question result and not being able to say what course I wanted in Careers class. Plus the fact that my sister moved to Amsterdam this week for two years *sob sob*. All of this, led to the realisation that the next few months are not just going to require some elbow grease in relation to study. But also difficult and important decisions will have to be made.

Shit.

Don’t get me wrong, I knew this was coming but it still takes a while to wrap my head around.

So, as of now I have decided to implement a new philosophy to help decrease the amount of “Tragic Thursdays”. Also, so I won’t end up in a back brace for my Debs ala Regina George. My new philosophy after my endless words of complaining is:

Have no time for negative bullshit.

Yes, my Thursday was rough but then again it could all be a lot worse. Yes, I was deflated after my English question, but now I’ve something to work from and improve on. Yes, I can’t answer my teacher when she enthusiastically asks me where I’ll be heading/ what I’ll be doing. But someday I’ll know, definitely not today and maybe not even tomorrow but someday (righttttt????). So laugh, ignore the bullshitters and don’t let decisions scare the beJesus out of you.

Until next week ;) Xx
